CHONY Keriton Roll out

NYP management attempted to roll out a new program for breast milk scanning and labeling without enough training, notice, or beside nursing input. The CHONY professional practice committee (PPC) and CHONY leaders pushed to delay the start until nursing input was heeded and training implemented. The rollout was planned for February and has been delayed until June!

Versed Drips

The palliative care MDs and local 5T nursing management attempted to push through a practice change of allowing versed drips on the floor. 5T is the pediatric hematology/oncology floor that is cohorted with med/surg paitents. 5T nurses demanded education and a partnership to review the policy prior to implementation of this change and won! 5T nurses demanded safe, educated nursing practice and care.
